I love hawks. Also, I need to start carrying around my real camera with me.  These cell phone pics just don’t do these hawks justice.

FUN FACT:  The sound of an eagle, usually a bald eagle, that you hear on TV and in movies is actually the sound of my favorite animal, the red-tailed hawk.  The actual sound of a bald eagle is basically a simple chirp that is louder than small birds.  Hollywood uses the sound of the red-tailed hawk because it is more intimidating and is what people think a “raptor” should sound like.
