The band I’m playing with

I didn’t get into the all collegiate jazz band for the Missouri Educator’s Conference in January because they don’t want too many people from the same school in the band.  Lame.  So my teacher, who is a semi-celebrity in the jazz world, is saying screw all collegiate by letting me play in HIS big band.  So, I’m getting PAID to play now.  I’m playing in the most anticipated performance of the whole Conference!  SWEET!  Free hotel room, free food, free swag (even though swag [stuff we all get] is always free!!!)  SOOOOOOOOO excited!
